Goond (edible acacia gum) is dropped into hot desi ghee where it puffs up like popcorn, then crushed and bound with mawa, sugar and dry fruit. Traditionally eaten through the Bikaner winter and given to new mothers. We make it only between October and February.

Nothing here contains a preservative, so our milk sweets last days and not months. If a shop offers you a peda that keeps for a season, it is not the same peda.
